ABOUT THE EVENT
Ahvenisto Race Circuit. A brand-new venue for the series, and one that didn’t mess around. Blind climbs, speeds pushing 150 km/h, and a track that punished the smallest mistake. Finland was always going to be a test.
Kevin Piskolty walked in with a GR86 that’s still revealing its secrets – and walked out with another solid points haul and a Top 8 finish.
The weekend started with qualifying. Kevin put down a clean run, earned his spot in the Top 32, and got to work.
When the smoke cleared, Kevin walked away with P8 and 48 valuable championship points.
The GR86 is still a new beast. Kevin’s been learning it, shaking it down, chasing those tenths – and you can see the connection growing run by run. The car is starting to talk to him. And more importantly, he’s listening.
This wasn’t a weekend of trophies, but it was a weekend of progress. Real, tangible, seat-of-your-pants progress. The data we gathered, the confidence he’s building, the way he’s taming that GR86 – that’s the stuff that wins championships down the road.
Finland threw everything at us. Jack Shanahan took the win, Pawel Korpulinski kept the championship lead, and Kevin? He kept building.
